The Winnipeg Folk Festival is, as Sara described, one of those events that brings together people from all walks of life. Whether you’re in it for the music, the time spent outdoors, the opportunity to connect with friends or because waking up in a pool of your own sweat in the middle of a blazing field really floats your boat, one thing that is always guaranteed is the spectacular people watching. After a few hours in +30-degree temperatures, I’d say we all got pretty good at seeking out shade, napping under trees or tents and pushing aside that feeling that your organs are slowly being cooked (praise be to the beer tent).
