A much beloved Winnipeg music venue has returned. I’ve never been to the Royal Albert being relatively new to Winnipeg, but it doesn’t take long for stories of this famed Canadian venue to reach ones ears. And, to mark the reopening after months and months of speculation, confusion and rumours, Canadian pop punks Sum 41 and Billy Talent stopped by to check out what was happening and to presumably have a beverage or two. It looks like it was quite the night, and Charles Granger from video production company Digital Ghost was there to capture it. Now, I just have to get myself to the Albert to see what all the hype is about for myself.
“March 28th saw the community rally around the Royal Albert. Fire performers, fashion show, aboriginal dancing, fireworks and the police welcomed the members of Sum 41 & Billy Talent to the newly re-opened Royal Albert Arms Hotel in Winnipeg, Manitoba.”
