The ongoing battle between big, corporate resource extraction companies and environmentalists, along with First Nations communities, is playing out in the Yukon Territories as it is across the country. At stake in the Peel watershed is stunning untouched wilderness on the one hand, and millions or even billions of dollars in mining revenue on the other.
Of course, as we know, we can’t eat or breathe money. Just sayin’.
