I know what you’re thinking: what exactly is “lady porn?” It’s not what your dirty mind has conjured up. Sorry. Lady porn is, more broadly and for the purposes of this article, “what girls like.”
How many of us females (and probably dudes, too) have a Pinterest board with pins of scrumptious looking food? A lot. And that’s just one example. Read on and let me to show you more of my favourite lady porn:
Food Porn
This is my go-to source for visual stimulation. Really, who doesn’t want to drool on their monitor whilst browsing through delicious-looking culinary creations? My favourite source for food porn, hands down, is www.foodgawker.com. Prepare to get addicted to this site and “waste” copious amounts of time looking at food you will probably never end up making. For those who actually want to cook something, you can save recipes to your ‘favourites’ and use them for future culinary inspiration. Warning: Don’t browse this site while hungry.
Nail Porn
Nail art has exploded in popularity in the last year or so, and the Internet has become an infinite source of nail art ideas and DIY tutorials. For the most part, my nail porn is sourced from Instagram. The following are a few of my favourite Insta nail girls:
@sophynails – Sophy Robson is a London-based nail artist and salon owner. The nail art and Sophy herself are both super rad. Sophy is not just a manicurist–she is truly an artiste. Plus, I have to admit that I have a small–okay, maybe large–girl crush on her. She also has a sweet Tumblr you should check out- http://sosoflynails.tumblr.com/
@shopncla – This is the official Instagram for the brand NCLA, who are arguably the pioneers of nail wraps. I have yet to try any of their polishes or nail wraps, but I do ogle over their “nail of the day (NOTD)” posts.
@candypaintla – I randomly stumbled across this Instragram account for Candy Paint, a Los Angeles nail studio, maybe a month or so ago. Candy Paint is undoubtedly my best discovery lately and I have been busy perusing through their bright, bold, and loud designs ever since. If I ever find myself in L.A., you best believe I will be getting the fanciest pair of talons money can buy.
Stationary and Crafting (I feel awkward calling this category porn. After all, what would Martha think? She’d probably cringe and fear for her empire.)
My dream job is to be able to craft for a living. I am often successful at finding any excuse to craft something. I think the creators of FoodGawker wanted to occupy even more of my time, so they created www.craftgawker.com. Bastards! Once I have found at least 1,000 project ideas, I like to head over to the mecca of crafting supplies: www.etsy.com. I could (and do) spend hours browsing through stationery and crafting supplies. I recently discovered a new crafting craze: washi tape. I was curious about what exactly was this mysterious tape. Washi tape is colourful or patterned Japanese masking tape that is typically made from bamboo fibre. I obviously went buck wild on perusing and buying washi tape on Etsy. After all, I guess crafting is one of the most harmless addictions I could have.
