I can’t say I always understand modern dance. I can’t say I’m a huge fan of dance as an art form. The impressive athleticism that dancers often show is indeed to be admired. However, I’m not always sure what I am watching when I watch modern dancers do modern dance dances, if you know what I mean.
Then along comes this video, and it mixes modern dance with some bizarre and interesting ideas, like climbing a fence while wearing roller skates after fondling a snake. This is a visually appealing, stylish and dare I even say exciting video that brings modern dance out of the studio and into the everyday. I think the result is superb.
