Harper in Winnipeg with Parsons and Todd families to discuss child protection

Prime Minister Stephen Harper is in Winnipeg today to discuss child protection.

Harper will be at the Delta Winnipeg Hotel for a roundtable meeting over the noon hour where he will be joined by the parents of Rehtaeh Parsons and Amanda Todd, two Canadian teenagers who committed suicide in separate instances related to cyber-bullying.

Public Safety Minister Vic Toews, Winnipeg South Centre MP Joyce Bateman, and Lianna McDonald from the Winnipeg-based Canadian Centre for Child Protection will also join him.

We’re not sure yet if he will speak publicly; he didn’t respond to my email when I asked.
