Winnipeg Art Council: emptyful

I must say that I find ‘emptyful‘, behind the Millenium Library in Winnipeg to be a fascinating sculpture. So, I was quite pleased to have found this short video by the Winnipeg Art Council highlighting downtown’s most talked about art work. Wait, people are talking about it, right? If not, they should be!

“’emptyful’ is a public artwork, situated in Downtown Winnipeg in the Millennium Library Park. Created by Vancouver artist Bill Pechet, ’emptyful’ is based on the shape of a container, over 10 meters high, made of stainless steel, lights, water and fog. It was created as part of the Winnipeg Cultural Capital of Canada project, and the Winnipeg Arts Council’s Public Art Program.
