Iconic photos turned into Facebook selfies

Advertising agency Lowe Cape Town has made a little Photoshop mischief with four iconic photos, modifying them in order to mock the ubiquitous “selfie”.

We’re all familiar with the “selfie”  – that self-portrait that dominates Instagram and Facebook these days, the one taken at arm’s length featuring a pouting, oversaturated subject. The agency’s ads have meddled with snaps of Desmond Tutu, V-J Day in Times Square, and Will & Kate.
